The World Refining Association (WRA) is to host Egypt’s key stakeholders and industry experts together to discuss innovative ideas on how Egypt can realise its downstream potential.
WRA’s Inaugural Egypt Downstream Summit & Exhibition is taking place next February 15-16 – at the Fairmont Heliopolis & Towers in Cairo.
The summit, which is the first of its kind to be held in Egypt, will focus on attracting investment and highlighting the latest projects and opportunities for Egypt’s refining and petrochemical sectors. The main objective of the Egypt Downstream Summitis to stimulate discussion around how Egypt can realise its downstream potential while looking into practical solutions and means of achievingsuch solutions for generations to come.
The conference will engage a multitude of experts from the industrial sector, government agencies, regulatory authorities, investors, members of the business community, and the media.They will work to highlight the challenges and opportunities facing the downstream market. The experts will also share project updates and showcase the latest innovative technologies that can help the country’s refiners and petrochemical producers make their operations more efficient and produce more innovative products.

Conference presentations will cover a variety of topics, including EGPC plan for expanding the refining sector, a keynote case study on the Midor refinery, strategies and challenges related to downstream expansion, the plan for Egypt’s gas and how this will be used for petrochemical feedstocks andthe drivers for investing in Egypt’s downstream sectors.
Industry leaders will gather to discuss the latest local developments and initiatives that relate to the refining and petrochemical industries in Egypt.
The opening ceremony will commence at 8.50am on February 15th.
