US Embassy’s Warnings Wreck Egypt’s Tourism Sector: Official

Amary Abdel Azim, Head of Tourism Companies Division, said that the warnings issued by the U.S. Embassy to its nationals in Egypt over not visiting the Pyramids areas may deteriorate the Egyptian tourism sector. What is occurring in the Pyramids area came due to the lawlessness nowadays as we called, said Amary, for reaching radical solutions for it.

Amary has referred that the security and tourism are two sides of the same coin, and with  growing deterioration of the security state, the tourism sector in Egypt is being largely threatened because of the security vacuum as well as the insecure state that tourist feels.

On the other hand, Abdel Azim welcomed the return of the Iranian tourism to Egypt that can contribute to the tourism movement; affirming that the tourism agencies ought to attract these groups.
