UAE-based Burjeel Holdings signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment and it will invest one billion dollars in the Saudi health sector, the company announced on Wednesday.

Burjeel is looking forward to exploring investment opportunities through joint cooperation with the public and private sectors in order to enhance diversified healthcare services in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement will include establishing a leading healthcare network that includes specialized medical centres, day-surgery, digital healthcare, super specialty and comprehensive hospitals, and clinical research programs.

The group is in talks with many service providers from the private sector and leading public sector hospitals in the Kingdom to provide these services.
