The U.S. economy grew by 2.4 percent during 2023’s second quarter, faster than expected from 1.8 percent, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis’ first GDP estimate released Thursday.
The nation’s gross domestic product, the value of all goods and services produced in the U.S., expanded at a seasonally adjusted annual rate in the April-June quarter, the report added.
The figures were up from a two percent growth rate in the first three months of the year and far stronger than forecasters expected a few months ago.
