The Administrative Judiciary Court, of the State Council, has postponed the consideration of the lawsuit which filed by the lawyer Adel Sharaf, the head of the Egyptian Organization for Protecting Public Funds. The lawsuit called for obliging the head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), the PM and the chairman of PA, to form a committee for regaining the Egyptian loan that provided England early on 1917, which reaches £3 million, about EGP 28.8 billion.
The lawsuit said the Egyptian government early on 1917 lent EGP 2.5 million to Britain, in order to help it in the expenses of the World War I against Germany and Italy.
The lawsuit pointed out that the MP Mohamed Khalil Kouta, has submitted a briefing request to the council to regain this sum. The council formed a permanent committee to demand the loan from Britain, which reaches EGP 28.8 billion according to the French and English banks. This sum will pay all Egypt’s debts and the rest would be invested in the development plan and to improve the performance of the Egyptian economy.
