Constitution Party founder Mohamed ElBaradei cited “popular” demands for a Cabinet reshuffle, appointment of a new prosecutor-general, and formulation of a committee to discuss the electoral law on his Twitter account on Monday, asking “where does the stubbornness and lack of vision come from?”
ElBaradei’s posts seemed to implicitly criticise a presidential decision not to replace Prime Minister Hisham Qandil in an upcoming Cabinet reshuffle, expected on Monday evening.
“These are nationwide demands and a primarily solution to solve the crisis that has paralysed the country,” he said on his official Twitter account.
The reshuffle, expected to be publicly announced at 8pm on Monday, will include 11 new ministers, a source told Ahram Arabic.
