Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s upcoming visit to Moscow will be political and will not involve any talks over economic bilateral relations, chairman of Egyptian side of the Egypt- Russia Business Council, Ahmed El Wakeel said Wednesday.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad, the Egyptian official noted that a Russian business mission encompassing 150 Russia-based major firms is set to visit Cairo at the end of May.
He added that most of the firms participating in the mission are working in fields of gas, oil, agricultural equipments, chemicals, building equipments, banking, and other important fields.
He clarified that the upcoming period would witness starting the execution steps of establishing the Russian industrial zone in the new Suez Canal Project on which Al-Sisi and his Russian counterparts Vladimir Putin has agreed recently.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will attend Russia’s Victory Day celebrations on May 9 after Russia’s Putin has invited him.
Moreover, Next Saturday, Russia will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany at the end of World War II.
