Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s mother, Soad Mohamed, died Monday morning, a government source told Al-Ahram’s Arabic website.
She will be buried on Monday and a funeral service will be held at Cairo’s Mushir Tantawi Mosque, the source stated.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab had to cut short his two-day visit to Luxor in order to attend the funeral.
