Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has met investment minister Ashraf Salman on Sunday to discuss preparations for investment conference in Upper Egypt, Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Alaa Youssef stated.
The conference will be held in Hurgada on September11-12 and organized by the Egyptian government.
The event will be in the presence of Egyptian, Arab and foreign investors who are interested in investing in Upper Egypt region. Like the country’s Economic Development Conference held last March, the government will showcase a number of proposed projects located in Upper Egypt.
Youssef said that Salman has reviewed the preparations for the conference through which the government will showcase the incentives to attract investors to invest in Upper Egypt and raise development rates in it as well as providing main structure for investment projects.
On other side, Salman added that preparations for the conference include files that encompass detailed information about the projects set to be submitted for the investors.
The Minister added that Egypt is studying establishing a number of investment areas in Upper Egypt to be economically flourished in addition to providing job opportunities.
Salaman also reviewed the procedures that the ministry adopts to attract Arab and foreign investments remarkably facilitating the procedures of investing and founding firms.
Moreover, the minister noted that 1098 new companies have been founded during May 2015.
