President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi pointed out at Egypt’s crucial role and its efforts to bring peace in the region.
This came within the President’s answers to a number of questions posed to him after his speech in a special session within in the meetings of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos on Thursday 22/1/2015.
He also pointed out that Egypt took the lead in bringing peace to the region when President Anwar Sadat signed a peace accord with Israel.
Sisi also urged the whole world to encourage and support peacemaking in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, Sisi said that Egypt did not only work on reaching a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel and stopping escalation between the two parties, but also worked on rebuilding the Gaza Strip after last year’s war.
