Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi flies to Paris Sunday to attend United Nations Climate Change Conference, heading a committee representing African nations.
Paris Climate Change Conference is set to take place from 30 November to 11 December 2015.
The African nations-committee is to participate in formulating a universal, legally binding UN agreement on climate.
Over 135 heads of state will join the event aiming at pushing the enacting of global policies to limit the global temperature increase to 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrialisation era levels.
During the conference, al-Sisi is to read out a statement on behalf of African nations to express their support for a potential objective agreement on climate change, presidency spokesperson Alaa Youssef stated Saturday.
Al-Sisi is set to meet his French counterpart Francois Hollande for broad bilateral talks, as well as other dignitaries from different countries, Youssef added.
