President Abdel Fattah al-sisi will visit Singapore on August 30, to become first Egyptian president to visit the country since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1966, according to Singapore’s new agency Straight Times.
Sisi will be officially welcomed at the Istana, before meeting President Tan, and then Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, said the Foreign Ministry Saturday.
Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah Al Sisi will visit Singapore from Aug 30 to Sept 1 at the invitation of President Tony Tan Keng Yam.
President Al Sisi will also attend an event with business leaders jointly organised by the Ministry of Trade & Industry, International Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Business Federation.
President Tan will also host a State Banquet in honour of him.
President Al Sisi will be accompanied by Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hossam Eldin Moghazy and Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman.
