Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived on Wednesday in Gabon; the third stop on his four-day African tour.
Sisi is the first Egyptian president to visit the Central African country. His African tour began on Monday in Tanzania.
On Tuesday, Sisi visited Rwanda and discussed ties with top officials and visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where he paid his respects to the victims of the Rwandan genocide. The Egyptian President is set to visit Chad on Thursday.
According to the Egyptian presidency, Sisi’s African tour reflects Egypt’s keenness to bolster relations on the African continent in all fields, intensify coordination and communication with its African brothers, as well as boost cooperation with African countries on all levels, notably in economic and trade ties.
