A Russian media delegation has arrived Saturday to Cairo in an official visit to carry out an interview with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
According to security sources from Cairo International Airport, the delegation coming from Moscow is headed by the TV presenter Vladimir Shuster from the Russian News Agency “TASS” accompanied by a number of other media figures from Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Egypt on February 9 and 10 at the invitation of President Sisi.
The two presidents will discuss ways to advance bilateral relations, in addition to regional and international issues of mutual concern. They will also exchange views regarding the developments in the Middle East, the situations in Syria and Libya and how to push forward the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis.
The visit will be President Putin’s first to Egypt in ten years and follows the meeting the presidents held in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Russia, in August 2014.
