Egypt’s World Dream Tours lost as to EGP 500 million in 2012.

The Board Chairman, Alaa Hashem, has elaborated that the company lost EGP 500 million because of the low turnout of tourists on the tourism attractions in Cairo; referring that the company received barely 150 tourists, representing 10% of the targeted number of tourists.

The company has imported 5 touristic buses at EGP 13 million to transfer 330 tourists to the tourism attractions in Cairo, but the buses haven’t worked so far due to the current political turmoil.

Hashem has affirmed that the reason behind declining the tourists’ numbers to Egypt is that the state’s has no orientation to attract tourists via numerous ways; like restoring security and stability in the country, encouraging the e-tourism, which contributes to doubling the tourists’ number to more than 15 million ones every year.
