Politicians Evaluate Morsi’s Visit to KSA

Some representatives from political powers and parties emphasized the necessity of Mr. President Mohamed Morsi’s visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is the first official visit since Morsi named as Egypt’s president.

Eng. Mohamed El Saman, vice-president to Al Wasat party, said Saudi Arabia and Egypt are the most important countries in the region. The president will kick off foreign affairs by his visit to Saudi Arabia, because it is a must at the current time, a large number of Egyptian citizens work there, as well as there should be coordination between the two countries.

El Saman referred that the second visit should be to Sudan; whereas it is the royal portal to Africa.

As per the Egyptian prisoners in KSA, El Saman considered it as secondary problem; moreover, he trusts the Saudi judiciary.

The vice president expected that Syria crisis and the relations with Israel and Iran are the important files that the Egyptian and Saudi sides will discuss.

Eng. Abdel Aziz Al Hussaini, secretary of Al Karama (The Dignity) Party, for his side, said the president’s first visit came KSA is a key country among the Arab nations, and due to its religious and economic state. It is a main factor in the Arab politics.

He anticipated that the visit would have positive influence, and he called on Dr. Morsi to discuss the affairs of Egyptian prisoners in Saudi Arabia, according to MENA.

On the other hand, the spokesman of Building and Development Party, the political arm to Islamic Group, Safwat Abdel Ghani said the visit is very important as Saudi Arabia has religious, economic and security dimensions. It also has a leading role in Gulf region.

He also considered the affairs of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia and Gulf, and the prisoners’ cases as secondary problems will be solved in case of reinstating the relations.
