by Yomna Yasser
The campaign of Egyptian presidential candidate Moussa Moustafa Moussa said on Tuesday that its operations room has not reported any violations during the country’s ongoing presidential elections, which continue for the second day on Tuesday.

Moussa’s campaign spokesman Adel Esmat said that the campaign established its operations room on Monday to observe the elections around the clock.

Esmat said in exclusive statements to Al-Ahram Arabic news website that the operations room has not reported any violations or complaints regarding any attempt to sway the vote.

Esmat added that the voting process has “shown the patriotism of the Egyptian people and their unity during times of crisis, which call for fighting conspiracies against the state.”

Moussa, the 65-year-old Ghad Party chairman, is the sole competitor against incumbent President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in the elections, which started on Monday and will continue till Wednesday.

Egypt’s voter database records around 59 million eligible voters.

The final results, as well as the official voter turnout, will be announced on 2 April by the National Elections Authority.
