South Cairo Court, headed by Judge Abou Bakr Awad Allah, canceled the decision of banning minister of culture, Farouk Hosny, to spend his money. He is charged of using his power, moreover, he wasn’t able to justify the resources of  his EGP 18 million wealth.

The head of the Illicit Gains Authority (IGA), Assem al-Gohari, issued a decision of banning Farouk Abdel Aziz Hosny from spending his money, on reason of illicit gains during his term in the ministry.

Last session, the defense of Farouk Hosny affirmed that the former minister hasn’t been investigated or even faced the Illicit Gains Authority (IGA) before referring him to the court; elaborating that all the money deposited in Banque Misr, Zamalek branch, as it is the bank that he has been dealing with since 20 years.

The defense called for paying pension to the former minister, according to the law, whereas he is 72 and has health problems.
