Illicit Gains Refers Safwat El-Sherif To Criminal Court

Illicit Gains Authority referred, on Wednesday, Mohamed Safwat El-Sherif, the ex-Secretary-General of NDP, and his sons, Ashraf and Ehab, to the criminal court. They are accused of illicitly gained EGP 300 million.

Judge Essam Al-Gohary, head of the Illicit Gains ‎Authority, issued this morning a referral decision in which he called for fining Safwat El-Sherif and his two sons EGP 300 million, and compelling them to refund the same sum. This referral decision has been issued after the investigation proved that the ex- Secretary General had illegally used his powers to get several privileges.

The judge called for arresting the escaped son Ashraf to be penalized.
