Germany’s Foreign and Security Policy Adviser starts 2-day visit in Cairo

German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Foreign and Security Policy Adviser Christoph Heusgen arrived in Cairo Monday for a two-day visit where he is set to discuss regional affairs with a number of officials.

Heusgen will also discuss with Egyptian officials ways to bolsters ties between Cairo and Berlin.

Foreign minister Sameh Shoukry will meet with Heusgen Tuesday.
