The chairman of the Egyptian General Authority for Investment (GAFI) Alaa Omar heads to Abu Dhabi to promote Upper Egypt Investment conference which is set to be held next December.
GAFI announced Sunday that Omar is to take part in Abu Dhabi’s 17th Arab Investors and Businessmen Conference (ABIC) set to be held from November 16 to 17, 2015, under the theme “Investing in Entrepreneurship and Innovation” at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
In his speech, Omar will discuss the facilities that Egypt provided for investors to enhance their efforts to provide job opportunities for Egyptians.
The chairman will also meet with a number of businessmen and organisations in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, GAFI stated.
ABIC is organised jointly by the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for the Arab Countries (GUCCIAAC), the Arab League, UAE Ministry of Economy, UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Arab Investment and Credit Export Guarantee, in cooperation with Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions.
According to Abdullah Al Saleh – undersecretary, UAE Ministry of Economy and President of ABIC-, the conference will bring together senior Arab officials from different economic sectors and prominent business owners and investors from many Arab countries have confirmed attending.
The conference will highlight the requirements of economic and legislative climate and appropriate motivations for entrepreneurs to support entrepreneurship and innovation in Arab world so that they can address the challenges they face, Al Saleh stated.
Last week, GAFI’s Omar has visited Saudi Arabia to attend the fourth Arab-South American summit in which he invited the members of Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) and representatives of large companies to attend Upper Egypt’s conference.
Moreover, Omar has showcased the important sectors and investment opportunities that are set to be presented during Egypt’s conference.
