Ambassador Amr Morshdy, Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the freedom of speech is one of the most vested rights after the January 25 Revolution and guaranteed by the constitution.
Morshdy has referred to the independence of the Egyptian judiciary, and the commitment of the Egyptian government to not interfering in the cases seen in front of it or commenting on them.
This came after the statements released by the official spokesperson of the US Department of State yesterday about investigating with the satirist Bassem Youssef. The US Department of State considered this as an attack on the freedom of speech.
