Former PM Hisham Kandil Arrested

Former Prime Minister Hesham Kandil was arrested on Tuesday, a security source said.

Last September, the court sentenced Kandil to one year in prison after he had failed to carry out a court ruling for the Nile Cotton Ginning Company.

The prosecution has taken procedures to carry out the court ruling against Kandil, a judicial source said.

This time the verdict is final and cannot be appealed, the source added.
