Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met earlier Sunday in Cairo his Chadian counterpart, President Idriss Déby, where they discussed the latest development in Libya, Sudan and the Central Africa Republic.
In a press conference held at the Egyptian presidency, President El-Sisi praised the position of Chad and how it stood with Egypt after “the 30 June revolution.”
The two presidents also discussed Egyptian-Chadian bilateral relations.
Both presidents agreed there is a need for political solutions to reach peace and stability in the region and meet the aspirations of the people, whether in Libya, Sudan or the Central Africa Republic.
President Déby underlined his appreciation of Egyptian-Chadian, thanking Al-Azhar Institution for hosting delegations from Chad to learn the Arabic language.
