Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) ended lower on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index tumbling by 1.21 percent to 11,548 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) decreased by 0.84 percent to 2,155 points.
The all-embracing index, EGX 100 edged 0.87 percent lower to 3,184 points.

The country’s market capitalisation has incurred losses worth around 3.6 billion Egyptian pounds ($229 million), ending the trading at 748.464 billion pounds driven by local investors’ selloff.
