Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) ended lower on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index falling by 0.25 percent to 11,849 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went down by 0.9 percent to 2,178 points.
The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also plunged by 0.78 percent to 3,219 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 1.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($74.4 million), ending the trading at 749.968 billion pounds driven by local and Arab investors’ selloff.
Trading Aggregates
Trading value has approximately reached around 1.07 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 527 million securities executed 38,000 transactions.
