Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi met in Moscow Tuesday afternoon the chairman of the Russian state parliament (Duma) Sergey Naryshkin as part of his three-day visit to Russia, Ahram Arabic news website reported.
They met at the Duma headquarters in Moscow where they discussed inter-parliamentary cooperation between Egypt and Russia.
During the meeting, President al-Sisi stated that the parliamentary elections are expected to be held in Egypt before the end of the year.
The Egyptian President is going to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Tuesday where they are set to discuss the economic, political and military bilateral relations.
The latest developments in Syria will also be discussed during the talks between the two presidents according to Russia press.
The two presidents will hold a press conference following their meeting.
President al-Sisi will end his visit to Russia on Thursday. He will then head to Asia where he will visit China, Singapore and Indonesia.
