Egypt’s National library renovates rare Quran manuscript

Egypt’s National Library and Archives, aka Dar el Kotob, celebrates on the 27th of September, the restoration of a Hijazy Quran manuscript that dates to the 1st century AH( After Hijrah) . The manuscript is one of the oldest and rarest ones.

The celebration will take place at the library’s headquarter at the Fustat (old Cairo)beside the Museum of civilization. A documentary film will be screened, showing historical  information about the Quran manuscript and restoration stages it went through.

The Celebration ends with spiritual musical shows by Cairo Opera house Talents choir.
