Egypt’s Deficit Exceeded Greece, Gulf Aid Ends On August –Source

An official governmental source revealed that the budget deficit for 2013/2014 was estimated to be 15.5%. However, the Gulf aid curbed the deficit.

The source added that Greece’s deficit during its financial crisis stood at 14%. And it received huge European support.

The source said that the Gulf Aid to Egypt is expected to end in August which was taken into account in the new 2014/2015 budget estimates.
