Egypt’s Antiquities, Polish Ambassador Discuss Joint Cooperation, Tourism Movement

Mr. Ahmed Eissa, Egyptian Minister of Antiquities, received yesterday the Polish Ambassador to Cairo, Piotr Puchta, to look into the cooperation between the two countries and how to exchange the experiences with the countries across the world, in addition of the ways of restoring the rates of the Polish tourism movement to Egypt.

Eissa discussed the possibility of forming a committee that comprises the officials of the Ministry of Antiquities as well as the Polish Institute for Antiquities in Cairo to outline the joint cooperation between the two sides in the coming period.

Eissa stressed the necessity of expanding the cooperation between the two countries to prevent the illicit trade with antiquities as well as setting cooperation mechanisms and signing memorandums of cooperation between the concerned authorities in Egypt and Poland.

For his part, the Polish ambassador to Cairo confirmed has country’s willingness to support the joint cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of antiquities.
