Egyptian women are dominating the Forbes list of the Middle East’s 50 Women Behind Middle Eastern Brands 2023.
The list aims to celebrate pioneering Arab women who were able to create their own brands in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The list includes classification into six sectors, which are: fashion, jewellery, shoes, beauty, perfumes, and accessories.
Fourteen Egyptian women made it to the list, including pioneers like fashion designer Sara Onsi, fashion designer Marmar Halim, fashion designer Nour Azazy, jewelry designer Azza Fahmy, and fashion designers Maram Borhan and Hadia Ghaleb.
Onsi participated in the 76th Cannes Film Festival with her designs, while Halim is known for her designs, which have a unique Egyptian look.
Azazy designed the costumes for the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade in 2021.
