Egyptian state TV head replaced

Essam El-Amir was relieved of his duties as the head of the state-run Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) and replaced by Safa Hegazy on Saturday.

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail issued the decision, said spokesman of the cabinet Hossam EL-Kawish during a phone call with CBC channel. Hegazy was head of ERTU’s news section before assuming the top role.
