Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are considering boosting environmental cooperation, said Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad on Wednesday.
This came during a meeting between the Egyptian minister and her Emirati counterpart Mariam Al Mheiri yesterday. They discussed opportunities of potential cooperation in the natural reserves and rehabilitation of ecosystems sector.
They also talked about exchanging strategies and policies of hazardous materials, biodiversity, desertification, environmental legislations, and climate change. Moreover, they discussed implementing joint environmental projects.
They also negotiated exchanging expertise in execution of solar power, wind power, and green hydrogen projects, as well as activating water resources, sustainable management and recycling waste.
Other fields include the field of mathematical modelling, partnering in green investment projects, setting plan to connect education to the green investment map, and reducing carbon emissions by applying mandatory standards in all entities.
