Egypt to announce New Projects during Suez Canal Opening

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will announce new projects during the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal, Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouli announced.

The official opening of the new 72-kilometre shipping lane is schedule to for 6 August, in the presence of an invited audience of world leaders.

The minister stated -in a TV show- that Ismailia, Port Said and Suez governorates are expected to witness massive number of projects within the upcoming five years.

Moreover, Madbouli noted that the Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority has finished establishing New Ismailia project.
