Egypt’s Ambassador Salwa Moufid, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, has asserted that she signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a mechanism for political consultations between the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bangladeshi counterpart. Mr. Mohamed Shaheed Elhak, Deputy to Bangladeshi Ministry, has signed the MoU.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) provided that the countries have to hold mutual consultation sessions in the two capitals to follow up the development of the bilateral ties in different fields, in addition to the consultation and exchanging the views over the regional and international issues.
The two sides had agreed that the upcoming period will witness exchanging experiences in the cultural fields (like the grants of Al Azhar), agriculture, irrigation, tourism development, information technology and the small and medium entrepreneurs.
