Egypt registers 465 new coronavirus cases, 39 deaths on Tuesday

Egypt reported 465 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total infection tally to 92,947 since the outbreak began in February.

The health ministry also reported 39 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 4,691.

The statement said 1,121 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 35,959.

Egypt has been recording less than 1,000 coronavirus cases per day  since 9 July.
