An Egyptian prosecutor has ordered that former prosecutor-general Talaat Abdullah and his deputies Hassan Yassin and Ayman al-Werdany be put on a no-travel list pending investigations.
The three prosecutors are accused of planting bugs in the prosecutor-general’s office and using their influence for profiteering and making illicit gains.
Prosecutor-general Hisham Barakat had filed a lawsuit against Abdullah and his deputies, who were hired by the Muslim Brotherhood regime, accusing them of planting tapping devices in his office, reported the MENA.
