Egypt, Iran discuss economic ties expansion

Egypt’s minister of Finance ,Mohamed Maait and his Iranian counterpart Ehsan Khandouzi discussed means of developing economic bilateral relations, in a meeting in Cairo, according to an Iranian news agency.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the 8th Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) annual meeting that is hosted by Egypt in Sharm el Sheikh city on 25-26th of September.

Khandouzi arrived in Cairo on Sunday at the head of a delegation to attend the 8th annual meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Mehr News Agency reported.

They also discussed possible mutual cooperation in the field of customs and tariffs, shipping and tourism.

The Egyptian minister for his part stated that Egypt is keen on fostering relations with Iran, expressing his hope to see a forthcoming improved relations between the two countries.
