Egypt has enough strategic wheat reserves to last until first week of July – minister

Egypt, the world’s biggest buyer of wheat, has enough strategic reserves of wheat to last until the first week of July, Supply Minister Khaled Hanafy said in a statement Friday.

Hanafy made that assessment after the purchase of 60,000 tonnes of French wheat, according to a ministry statement.
