Egypt, Greece start Joint Air Forces Exercises

Greece’s Hellenic air forces units arrived in Egypt on Friday to participate in the joint Egyptian Greek air force exercises “Horus 2015” , reported Egyptian armed official spokesperson on Saturday.

In a short statement published on his official Facebook page, Brigadier General Mohamed Samir stated that the joint Egyptian Greek air forces exercises would last for several days.

Last week Egyptian, Greek and Cyprus naval forces conducted a joint practice drill in the Mediterranean.

In April, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi visited Cyprus where he held a summit meeting with the leaders of Cyprus and Greece, agreeing to step up the fight against terrorism in the area.
