The Marble Palace, the most expensive house in Dubai, has been listed by Sotheby’s International Realty for $204 million, CNN Business reported on Wednesday.

The property is the Emirates Hills neighbourhood’s biggest, spanning over 70,000 square feet, and an interior inspired by the Renaissance and Baroque eras.

“We’re so excited to bring this listing to the market. It is a testimony to the forward-thinking and innovative approach to property design that is rippling across Dubai,” said George Azar, Sotheby’s International Realty in the UAE’s CEO.

Every aspect of this project reflects an extraordinary commitment of time, energy, and dedication by the team involved, as 70 skilled artisans devoted than nine months to applying 700,000 sheets of gold leaf that embellish the property, Azar added.

The first floor includes a formal dining room, which acts as the centrepiece of the property and features an expansive coral reef installation and a crystal dining table.

The house also includes 160 marble columns, two hand-carved glass domes, a koi pond, an indoor pool, a steam room, a sauna, 24-carat gold jacuzzi, 2,153 square feet techno gym space, and a 16-car garage.

The house has a 3,875-square-foot primary bedroom, a mini-primary room, and three guest bedrooms; interested buyers can add up to eight supplemental rooms.

The Marble Palace overlooks a golf course and a view of Burj Khalifa and is among the priciest residences on the global market, joining a $250 million Central Park Tower penthouse and a $300 million 205-year-old mansion in London.
