The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) signed this morning a cooperation protocol with the International Labor Organization (ILO), in participation with both of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and Denmark Embassy in Egypt. The protocol is to provide the technical support to Egypt in the field of managing the phenomenon of unofficial immigration to assist in supporting the development process.
Conducting a complete survey about immigration in Egypt during two years is also targeted by the protocol. For his part, Khaled Al Azary, Egypt’s Minister of Manpower and Immigration, emphasized the necessity of doing this survey as well as reactivating the policies that serve the revolution’s targets.
The minister elaborated that one of the survey’s aims is to collect the resources necessary to activate the fruitful cooperation between Egypt and Europe as well as all the additional societies.
On the other hand, Gen. Abu Bakr EL Gendy, Head of CAPMAS, said the survey is one of the widest surveys that have various indicators of the society, moreover, it has a big sample of Egyptian families to provide delicate statistic data around international immigration in Egypt.
