The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has signed a $50 million term loan facility with Green Economic Zone Kaduna (GEZK) to finance the design and construction of a 718 hectares mixed use and eco-friendly Special Economic Zone in Nigeria.
Oluranti Doherty, export development director at Afreximbank signed the term sheet on Tuesday with Khalifa Nazir, President of Green Economic Zone Kaduna, at the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2023), taking place from November 9-15 in Egypt.
GEZK in Kaduna state is a public private partnership project between KK Kingdom Nigeria Limited and Kaduna State Government which was signed on 1 June 2021 to foster economic growth and to take advantage of the benefits Kaduna State provides.
On December 2021, KK Kingdom Nigeria Limited signed an engagement letter with Afreximbank’s Advisory and Capital Markets division (ACMA) to provide financial advisory services with regards to equity and debt raise for the GEZK.
