Thomas Nides: “Egypt Is Open For Business”

The US Deputy Secretary of State, Thomas Nides, in his keynote during the conference of businessmen that organized by the American Chamber in Cairo, thanked the 100 businessmen, of the 50 companies, who made this visit to Egypt. He sees this visit makes the US getting closer to Egypt.
“US and Egypt have the right to work together for the people”, Nides said.

Egypt is starting a new era in its relations with the US, so the investors and governments should establish a commercial and investing partnership in the Middle East, in a way that helps the sides to be pioneering, the US Deputy said.

Nides hoped that he returns to his country with a certain message, which is “Egypt is open for business”.
He mentioned that Egypt is the best site for market and economic success, and has enthusiastic businessmen community. Egypt is committed to trade and investment; as it is ready to be one of the top 10 economic countries in the world. And the US mission is help Egypt to stabilize in economy, by providing loans and aids.

Nides referred that the volume of the commercial exchange between Egypt and the US reached $ 8 billion, besides the $12 billion volume of the US investments in Egypt. And there are many factors for attracting investments to Egypt, such as the middle and small entrepreneurs.
