Senior Commander Ahmed Shafiq, Egypt’s former premier, said I received no calls for investigation in any complaints against him so far. He mentioned the reason of his late return to Egypt is on the account of his bad psychological condition; after calling him for investigation as he served the country more than 50 years.
In a phone call to “Al Kahera Al Youm” (Cairo Today) program on Saturday night, Ahmed Shafiq asserted that he has received messages from certain authorities calling him to come back to Egypt, on condition that he wouldn’t return to political life.
He showed his sympathy with 24 August protests; denying the allegations of spending EGP 5 million on these protests.
Ahmed Shafiq added that he received the results of the presidential elections, but didn’t refer to the official who called him.
