Catherine Ashton, the European Union’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, will start on Wednesday evening her two-day visit to Egypt. President Morsi will receive her on Thursday.
Ambassador Ashraf Hamdy, deputy minister of foreign affairs for EU and West Europe affairs, asserted that Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, the head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), will also receive Ashton.
Ambassador Hamdy said Dr Nabil Al Arabi, the Secretary General of Arab League will meet her tomorrow night.
He elaborated that the talks will tackle the ways by which EU will help Egypt, on the political, economic and democratic levels; and discussing the latest developments on the interior arena of Egypt.
