Hazim Shawki, official in tourism committee of FJP, said the Egyptian Tourism Federation (ETF)’s endorsement of Ahmed Shafiq in run-off elections doesn’t refer to the consent of the whole tourism sector.

Shawki referred that the federation has hailed before the tourist program of Freedom and Justice Party, as they consider it the best program to bolster the tourism sector.

He criticized the federation’s stance when it was complaining from Ahmed Shafiq, as a minister of aviation; as he closed some air fields, the interior flights of Egypt Air weren’t intensive. This affected on tourism, so their endorsement sparks arguments.

Shawki considered the tourism sector’s fears from the Islamic system as a pretext to endorse Ahmed Shafiq, as the party has held five conferences in which it assured on not imposing disciplines on the tourism sector.
