A group of Muslim Brotherhood supporters blocked the coastal road in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate in northern Egypt on Friday by setting car tyres ablaze, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
Security forces re-opened the road after firing teargas and chasing the protesters away.
Friday is the second anniversary of the deadly dispersal of the Rabaa and the Nahda pro-Mohamed Morsi sit-ins in 2013. The occasion was marked by a few small demonstrations in other parts of the country.
According to the National Council for Human Rights, a total of 632 people were killed during the Rabaa dispersal, including eight police officers. The dispersal also left 1,492 injured and saw 800 people arrested, according to the same report.
