The constitutional and Legislation Committee in People’s Assembly decided on Tuesday morning to approve on the bill of preventing the former regime’s leaders from running for presidency. This bill was submitted by Essam Sultan, the New Center Party’s parliamentary body chairman, to Dr. Saad Al-Katatni, the chairman of People’s Assembly.
Approval on the bill came after 48 hours of submitting it and transmitting it to the Proposal and Complaints Committee which approved it yesterday morning. The offer was discussed during the evening session of the PA, as it rapidly approved it and transmitted it to the Legislation Committee.
