On Wednesday, Egypt’s High State Security prosecutor ordered a 15-day detention for Saad Khairat El-Shater, son of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Deputy Supreme Guide Khairat El-Shater, reported Ahram’s Arabic website.
The son of the Brotherhood senior leader was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday in east Cairo.
Saad, 23, was rounded up in the Nasr City district on allegations of inciting violence, as part of a larger-scale crackdown on the Islamist movement.
His father El-Shater, a wealthy businessman, who is widely seen as the Brotherhood’s leading political strategist, is being detained on charges including inciting violence against anti-Brotherhood protesters.
